In recognition of the 98th Anniversary of the founding of the Order of DeMolay in Kansas City, Missouri by Frank S. Land, Elizabethtown Chapter, Order of DeMolay, will be celebrating with a month-long observance from March 1st through March 31st. This special observance was kicked off when Master Councilor Kody and officers Jake, Adam and Daniel, attended the monthly meeting of the Elizabethtown Borough Council, during which Mayor Clarence “Chuck” Mummert presented the proclamation recognizing March as DeMolay Month; and when Kody, Daniel and Logan attended the monthly meeting of the Mount Joy Township Supervisor’s Meeting when the supervisors adopted a similar proclamation.
During DeMolay Month, Elizabethtown Chapter will be hosting a Sponsoring Body Recognition program; a Senior DeMolay program; visiting DeMolay Chapters in Allentown, Greensburg, Harrisburg, Reading and York; and holding a Sky Zone Trampoline Park Prospect Party for young men interested in joining DeMolay. Local, State and U.S. Government Officials have joined in the celebration by issuing proclamations recognizing Elizabethtown Chapter’s observance of March as DeMolay Month. On Sunday, March 12th members and advisors will be attending a church service at the Lives Changed By Christ Church in Manheim in observance of the DeMolay International Devotional Day, and on March 21st Past Master Councilor Alex will be presenting the Flower Talk to several of our newer members for the Lancaster Lodge of Perfection meeting.
